Vinyl Land Records announces yet another compilation on the “Collector’s Choice” Series!

After the release of “Colletor’s Choice: BH 2013”, compiling 21 new bands from Belo Horizonte/Brazil, comes a new double album focused on the music scene in the Minas Gerais capital city: “Deita no Cimento! Músicas do Carnaval de Rua de Belo Horizonte 2009-14” (Lay down in the Pavement! Street Carnaval Songs from Belo Horizonte 2009-14)

Encompassing 19 original songs from the recent street carnaval revival in “Beagá” (a city usually known for becoming a ghost town during the february festivities), this compilation showcases the explosion of creativity of the new “Blocos de Rua” and the compositions that were brought to light between 2009 and 2014.

With deep political protest roots and satire, but also a sense of fun and liberation typical of the brazilian carnaval, the LP includes hits that reverberated in the streets and in the interwebz like O Baile do Pó Royal, Então Brilha!, Marcha da Alcova, Marchinha do Manjericão, Coxinha da Madrasta and many more!

Double LP 140g gatefold Sleeve – 500 copies pressed at Polysom Brasil (the last vinyl pressing plant in South America!) for sale in our Brasil Shop.
